New Year; Time to start over?

2010 is here already. Why it was just the other day in 1980 and life was so laid back. As I stand today, I'm 44 with a Wife, 5 Daughter's, a Grandson, 2 dogs, married 10 years and a job I've been at for almost 14 years. Life is moving along at light speed and I thank God that He's given me a pretty clear mind to handle all that gets thrown at me. My plate is kind of full this month. I'm training to run my first full marathon on January 31st in Miami. This involves running lots of miles, eating properly and staying injury free.

I actually ran my first 5k race of the year today. I finished in 19:46 which isn't too shabby, but not the best I could do, though considering that I went for a 70 mile New Years day bike ride, I guess I did okay. The bike ride was a lot of fun. There were close to 80 riders and we had a great day for riding.
Christmas went well for us in 2009. I got my wife the cell phone she wanted, with the data plan, of course. The girls got tons of stuff but most notably, a Karaoke machine and an electric motorbike, which is pink, of course. I took all of my girls and visited my eldest Daughter and Grandson on Dec 27. The visit was a bit disturbing, since her and the baby's dad are in the middle of breaking up. We took them out to breakfast, but I couldn't help feeling awkward about their situation. Sometimes you just have to let go and let people live their lives. We saw this Bald Eagle perched in a tree on the way back from breakfast. Funny how one can easily fall into bad times when you take your eyes off of the beauty of it all.
